Buurman se Gat

Buurman se Gat is ‘n regte “Bundu”  kamp met ‘n bietjie beskerming. Die kamp is in die berg geleë, ongeveer 3km van die hoofkamp.

Die huisie is ‘n skerm wat teen ‘n oorhangrots gebou is. Dit bied basiese beskerming. Hier is nie krag of lopende water nie. Vars water word wel een keer per dag afgelewer.

Hier is ‘n emmer-stort en “long drop” toilet.

As slaapplek is daar ‘n stapelbed  vir 2x dubbelbed matrasse. Nog twee matrasse kan op die vloer lê wat dus slaapplek aan 6 mense aanbied. Daar is wel sponsmatrasse, maar jy moet jou eie beddegoed, eet- en kookgery saambring.

Buurman se Gat is a rustic camp with sandstone shelter.

This camp is only about 3 km from the main camp and can also only be reached by 4×4. At this camp is a sand stone shelter which can accommodate six people.

This is basically just a shelter with bunker beds and mattresses. You have to bring your own cutlery, bedding, etc.  There is a bucket shower in one of the cracks in the rocks and a long drop toilet.

Fresh water is supplied on a daily basis in water cans.

You can go for a swim at the nearby Waterfall.

Verreaux’s (Black) Eagles are nesting in this area which makes camp the ideal camp for bird watchers.

When you camp at Buurman se Gat you have the whole camp for yourself and you are far away from the rest of the crowd.
